Ryan Gosling Was Relieved That He Did Not Kiss His Gorgeous Co-Star

Ryan Gosling’s appearance in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie has become the highlight of the film for many. The character of Ken will definitely go down in history as one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. One of the key aspects of this character is the fact that he goes completely unnoticed by Barbie, being girlfriend and boyfriend only in name. “They don’t know how. It was so funny trying to figure out how, what their idea of kissing might be. I’m so glad all of that got cut out, because that was…” he stated.

Gosling does not seem to be one of these people, being glad that he did not lock-lips with his co-star, the beautiful and extremely talented, Margot Robbie. The actor revealed his reason for this, stating that he believes that the fact that these characters are dolls, would make the entire sequence very awkward. This actually seemed to be the case as a scene of the two kissing was in the script and was shot but did not make the final cut.

“No that didn’t feel like a win for me. And all my girlfriends were like, ‘Well you did a whole movie with him, and you don’t kiss? What is wrong with you?’ And I was like, ‘I know.’ Can’t tick that one off.” she stated

The actress was quite upset when the scene where they actually did kiss was removed from the final cut of the movie. She also went on to add that this did not feel like a win for her as she felt upset that she did not get to cross Gosling’s name off her list of all the big-name actors that she has kissed on-screen like Brad Pitt, Jared Leto, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
