The first episode was a blend of emotional, comedic, and suspenseful elements that proved to be the perfect start to one of the most anticipated anime series of 2024. The hour-long episode focused on a bunch of things, like Nezuko’s newfound ability to walk into the sun, the demon slayer mark, and the Hashiras figuring out what should be the next step.

However, fans were mesmerized by just the first few minutes of the episode when they got to see Sanemi Shinazugawa and Obanai Iguro in action. While anime fans are excited to see what the future holds for the series, manga fans are worried about characters that may not make it out alive.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Obanai Iguro Get a Glimpse of the Infinity Castle

As the first episode started, fans saw Sanemi and Obanai chasing a demon along with a few other Demon Slayers. The demons have been wreaking havoc in the villages by kidnapping women, and the Hashiras finally get a chance to attack the hideout of the demons and maybe save the people in danger.

But as they fight the demons, they realize that the entire place is filled with them, and Sanmei and Obanai find the entire setting quite odd. They continue to slash demons one after another, and as they finally reach the demon who kidnapped the woman, the demon throws the woman at Sanemi and jumps into a hole in the building.

Sanemi and Obanai follow him, and as they jump into the hole, they somehow enter the Infinity Castle. The Infinity Castle is the lair of Kibutsuji Muzan in an alternate dimension and the meeting spot for the rest of the demons. This was an anime-original scene, and Ufotable did a great job of portraying the horrors that are yet to come.

Fans Are Worried For The Hashiras in Demon Slayer Season 4

Although most of the Demon Slayer fans have already watched the events of the first episode in the movie, others did not expect to get an anime-original scene that almost put the lives of two Hashiras in danger. Although Sanemi and Obanai are strong, they would not have survived the Infinity Castle alone.

Demon Slayer manga fans know that the next Infinity Castle arc is the most important, but it also has some of the most depressing moments of the entire series.

As soon as the first episode debuted, fans took to X (Formerly Twitter) to express their opinions about the first episode. While some praised Ufotable for a great first episode, others showed fear for Sanemi and Obanai.
