In a recent interview with People, actress Calista Flockhart revealed an unexpected encounter that left her feeling like a “hot mess.” She recalled an occasion when she had the opportunity to spend time with the Only Murders in the Building star Martin Short and a group of friends.
“I had an opportunity to spend a little time with Martin and a few other friends,” she said before admitting, “And I was completely starstruck.” The Supergirl actress further described Short as “wonderful and talented” as she expressed her admiration for him, saying,
“I’m stammering. I say stupid jokes. I’m like an idiot. And then I go home and ruminate for three days—I’m sort of shy to begin with. So inside, I was a hot mess. I’m sure that he went home and said, ‘Oh my Lord.'”
Calista Flockhart admitted that she found herself in a state of awe when faced with the comedian in person, saying, “I’ve adored him just from afar.” She also admitted that despite her attempts to maintain her composure, she was overwhelmed, calling it an “out of body” experience.

The couple shares a son Liam Flockhart, whom the actress adopted a year before she met Harrison Ford, who also officially adopted him after he and Calista Flockhart wed in 2010.
