In a recent interview with People, actress Calista Flockhart revealed an unexpected encounter that left her feeling like a “hot mess.” She recalled an occasion when she had the opportunity to spend time with the Only Murders in the Building star Martin Short and a group of friends.
“I had an opportunity to spend a little time with Martin and a few other friends,” she said before admitting, “And I was completely starstruck.” The Supergirl actress further described Short as “wonderful and talented” as she expressed her admiration for him, saying,
“I’m stammering. I say stupid jokes. I’m like an idiot. And then I go home and ruminate for three days—I’m sort of shy to begin with. So inside, I was a hot mess. I’m sure that he went home and said, ‘Oh my Lord.'”
Calista Flockhart admitted that she found herself in a state of awe when faced with the comedian in person, saying, “I’ve adored him just from afar.” She also admitted that despite her attempts to maintain her composure, she was overwhelmed, calling it an “out of body” experience.

Calista Flockhart is returning to the TV screens with the anthology series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Flockhart has shared that she does not regret taking a step back to prioritize her family as she shared, “I was 99 percent a stay-at-home mom.”
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show alongside her co-stars Demi Moore and Naomi Watts, the actress said, “I felt very grateful that I had a choice,” before adding, “So I made a choice to walk away and I don’t regret it at all.”
When asked during an interview about her husband, Harrison Ford’s support for her, the 59-year-old actress said that the Blade Runner star supports her in “so many ways.” She further told the outlet, “He supports me a lot. It’s a mutual thing.”
Ford and Flockhart first met at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards and soon started dating. They got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot the following year on June 15, 2010. The couple shares a son Liam Flockhart, whom the actress adopted a year before she met Harrison Ford, who also officially adopted him after he and Calista Flockhart wed in 2010.
