Filmmaker George Miller is set to captivate both audiences and the industry alike with his upcoming film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, as suggested by Edgar Wright in his review of the film. Scheduled to premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival before its official release, the movie has already received glowing praise from Wright.
Sharing his reaction to Miller’s work, he said, “I’m still reeling at how films like his exist.” The Baby Driver director lauded Miller for building the intricate cinematic world, stating that the film promises to deliver not just a thrilling chase but a deeply resonant revenge epic that harks back to classics like Ben Hur.
Emphasizing that the movie would be unlike anything the audience has experienced, he said that Furiosa brings a “full circle to the first Max adventure in 1979.” Wright expressed his admiration and amazement for the film, saying,
“Filmmakers and fans will leave with their heads spinning. I felt both inspired and envious! There was a point during a midway set piece where I leant over to a friend and said, ‘How the f*ck does he do this?'”

After portraying a superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Hemsworth is switching gears by taking on the antagonistic role in George Miller’s upcoming film. The movie features him in the role of Warlord Dementus, who kidnaps Furiosa from the Green Place.
And Edgar Wright has lauded it as Hemsworth’s best performance yet, saying, “Chris Hemsworth has never been better.” Along with the Extraction star, he also praises Tom Burke for channeling the “rugged presence recalling the original Road Warrior himself” as Praetorian Jack.
The filmmaker also applauded Anya Taylor-Joy, portraying the titular character in the movie, as he recalled Miller suggesting her for the role of Furiosa after watching an early cut of Last Night In Soho. “I responded, ‘Do it, do it! She’s a star, get her now!” he remembered. And Wright is “proud” to see the actress shining in the post-apocalyptic action film.
Serving as a prequel to the 2015 film in the franchise, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga explores Furiosa’s survival and her quest to return to the Green Place of Many Mothers after she is abducted by a Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus, in a world descending into chaos.
