Dwayne Johnson Was Appointed to the Board of Directors of TKO
Recently, Dwayne Johnson, the actor and former WWE star, was appointed to the board of directors of TKO Group, the publicly traded company consisting of the UFC and WWE. Apart from his appointment, Johnson has also been given full ownership of “The Rock” trademark, which had been owned by WWE.

Amidst these, it’s in the news that Johnson will return to WWE, which would be his first match in WWE since 2016, for a fight against his cousin and current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
“My grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, and my dad, Rocky ‘Soulman’ Johnson, would’ve never thought this day would come,” Johnson said in a statement. “Which is why I’m very humbled to have a seat at the table that has decades of history and family legacy for me. A table that my family helped to build.”
The name The Rock is derived from his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, who was the first Black champion in WWE history.
