Who’s the Eon Iman Vellani Teased About? A Potential Cosmic Game-Changer for the MCU’s Future?

It all started with the Quantum Bands first introduced in the Ms. Marvel series, which sparked immense curiosity that was finally answered in The Marvels. To delve deeper, in the comics, these Quantum Bands were enigmatic and potent tools for manipulating energy, accessible to most humanoid beings.

And here’s where the mysterious Eon enters the scene. Interestingly, this isn’t the MCU’s initial subtle hint of Eon. What many have missed, the character was somewhat officially introduced to the cinematic universe in Thor: Love and Thunder in the form of a statue.

It is believed that Eon is the creator of the Quantum Bands. In later comic arcs, numerous individuals were seen wearing these bands, but one of the most memorable wearers is undoubtedly Wendell Vaughn’s Quasar. Thus, when asked about the bands and the implied new heroes they are going to probably bring on board and their future in the MCU, Iman Vellani revealed to New Rockstars,

“Like Quasar and stuff?–I still think, Eon’s a contender, — I swear there was a version of our script where Darbin actually name drops Eon, like this was his grave or something where they found it, so in my head that still makes sense”

Only time will tell whether these new elements will be introduced soon into the cinematic universe. Until then, fans must sit patiently waiting for further developments all while speculating about who might potentially step into these roles in the future.

Possible Actors Who Could Play Quasar in the Future of the MCU

So far it is known that being a scientist with S.H.I.E.L.D., Wendell Vaughn studied the Quantum Bands until A.I.M. attacked, leading him to don the bands and become Quasar. He later earned the title “Protector of the Universe” by Eon. Joining the Avengers, he then went on numerous missions. In recent years, he since passed on the Quantum Bands to another scientist and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Avril Kincaid.

Fans have long desired Charlie Hunnam to portray Quasar in the MCU. Despite not yet making his entry into this cinematic universe, some floating rumors that surrounded him during the release of the last Ant-Man movie and the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy might also possibly put him in a good position for the casting of the role. On the other hand, Jensen Ackles is also in the running for the fan cast of the role.
