Brie Larson’s The Marvels is gearing up for release with the MCU telling another big cosmic adventure after the success of Guardians Of the Galaxy Vol 3. The film’s been marred by many rumors and behind-the-scenes drama concerning its production, poor test screening, and the fact that the director left the film in between to shoot another film did not make fans enthusiastic about it.

The film is releasing with shockingly low expectations (which was a rare thing for a Marvel film before) and the first reviews while predominately mixed, turned out to be better than expected. Many critics and fans who liked the film praised its fun tone and the chemistry between the three leads. However, Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel seems to be everyone’s favorite thing about the film.

I enjoyed #TheMarvels quite a bit. The place switching gimmick is really fun and fresh. The cast has pretty great chemistry. Iman Vellani is THE highlight. NEED Marvel to work on Ms. Marvel S2. I also really liked the Khans and Nick Fury who have some really funny scenes. 1/3 pic.twitter.com/5VFRQb1nof

y’all dont understand #TheMarvels is one of the best choreographed action films out there and well shot too!! The way they utilized the power switching was so GOOD and that one take scene with Monica was GAG WORTHY pic.twitter.com/vqFznTHdhw

#TheMarvels expertly uses its pieces to create an entertaining comic book movie. The action, comedy, and MCU world-building were the strengths. However, the MVP was Ms. Marvel as Iman Vellani continues to be the best new addition to Marvel. The villain is the LVP. @MCU_Direct pic.twitter.com/GgSzPjvExo

It seems Vellani has a bright future in the MCU moving forward, provided the film does not flop at the box office. The hype regarding the film is still low and it remains to be seen how it fares at the box office when it releases on November 10, 2023.
Brie Larson Gave Tips To Nia DaCosta On Working on A Big MCU Film
![Brie Larson in The Marvels](https://fandomwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/brie-larson-captain-marvel-RS-1800.jpg)
Nia DaCosta is directing the upcoming MCU flick The Marvels. She is only one film old (2021’s Candyman) and she had no experience directing a big-budget studio film. She is also the youngest filmmaker/director working on an MCU film.
Thus, her lead star Brie Larson provided a lot of tips and directions on the workings of a Marvel set and helped her leave her mark as a director on the film. She told Gamesradar+,
“Brie’s done it before. There was actually this really funny day; she and Teyonah were in my office and Brie’s, like, laying on the couch, hands behind her head and she was like, ‘Here’s how it’s gonna go, here’s what’s happening. Don’t worry’. She was basically just like, ‘We’re all gonna get through this. It’s gonna be great, but here are some tips for how to bend and not break’ sort of thing.'”
The Marvels is rumored to be setting up the future of the MCU moving forward in a big way. Only time will tell how the film contributes to building the narrative in the Multiverse saga.
