The first trailer for the film came out earlier this year, on January 25th. “God saved me for a reason, but I’m still searching for what that reason is,” says the nun, seated in a confessional booth.
The trailer offers a glimpse of what is to come for Cecilia. Initially hailed as a miracle, the cloister of nuns gradually turns hostile towards her, and she begins to wonder if her pregnancy is truly a gift or something more sinister.

Sydney Sweeney has appeared in a number of shows, like The Handmaid’s Tale and White Lotus, winning praise for her performances consistently. In Immaculate, Sweeney will wear the nun’s habit, once again showing her range as a rising star.
Besides Sweeney, European acting royalty like Alvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, and Simona Tabasco will also play important characters in the film. Morte is well-known for his outing as the professor in the Netflix runaway hit Money Heist.
