Premiering in the month of September 1997, the series follows the attorney Ally McBeal who leaves her earlier job due to sexual harassment. Joining a new firm by the name of Cage & Fish, she is horrified to learn that she would be working with none other than her ex-boyfriend Billy Thomas who she never got over with. The 5 season run follows the trio of Ally, Billy, and his wife Georgia tackling matters of personal life as well as some court drama.
It has been confirmed that a sequel series to Ally McBeal is being made over at ABC and the original actress Calista Flockhart is alleged to guest star and be an executive producer in the series. There has been no release date confirmed for the series.
