Following the recent successful re-release of his 2020 film Tenet, it has now been reported (via X) that Interstellar will have an IMAX re-release in November 2024. This is great news for those who missed the original release, and who have been wanting to see the film on the biggest screen possible.

Cillian Murphy has starred in six of Christopher Nolan‘s films. In addition to Michael Caine, it seems like Murphy is another of Nolan’s muse and their relationship has evolved greatly over the years. In an interview with The Independent, the actor was asked which Nolan film (in which he was not in) he wanted to have appeared in.

Murphy stated that he would have loved to be in Interstellar as he loved the film a lot. He found it more comfortable to watch than other Nolan films in which he participated. He found the film incredibly emotional and having younger kids of his own at the time, it broke his heart. He said,

“I adore ‘Interstellar’ just because I find it so emotional I remember seeing it in the cinema when I had little kids. It just had a big impact on me. It broke my heart. I love watching his films when I’m not in them because you don’t have to freak out about the size of your ears, or whatever.”

Murphy starred in the lead role for the first time in a Nolan film with 2023’s Oppenheimer. Both of them won an Oscar for Best Actor and Director. The film also went on to win 5 other Oscars including Best Picture. Fans can watch Interstellar on Max.
