A star-studded cast appeared for Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which streamed exclusively on Netflix on May 5 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Kevin Hart as a part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2024, the event witnessed several comedians, actors, and Brady’s former NFL teammates joining in to roast the player.
While people were already excited about the event, things became even more thrilling when rumored attendee, actor, and die-hard Boston sports fan Ben Affleck appeared on the program to roast his favorite NFL quarterback. Making it a long night for Tom Brady at his live Netflix comedy roast, the event started with a bloody OJ Simpson jersey and ended with Brady smashing an iPhone on stage.
Walking onto the stage to a standing ovation from the crowd, Ben Affleck began with, “I’m just in time. This is pretty fucking ballsy of you”. However, midway through the roasting, people didn’t expect to hear Affleck’s unhinged rant where he called out fans for criticizing celebrities from behind the keyboard.
“You guys are there talking sh*t, alright, behind your f*king keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan, that makes you a b*tch.”

Slamming the actor for turning the three-hour-long ceremony into a massive failure with his unhinged rant, fans went brutal on Affleck.
Addressing how the actor wasn’t overflowing with humor, unlike the other celebrities present on the show, fans slammed Ben Affleck for stringing together the worst set of the night. A few netizens even compared the actor’s roasting of Tom Brady to his discussion with Bill Maher where he kept losing his point.

Ultimately, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady was overall a success with the former NFL player’s buddies and well-known celebrities roasting him. But fans can’t overlook how badly Ben Affleck messed things up with his surprising appearance and average jokes, on the show.
