Dafne Keen is an outstanding actress who had her breakthrough by playing the role of Laura aka X-23 in the 2017 Logan starring Hugh Jackman. She was widely praised for her role which helped her in getting nominated for several awards.
The then-teenager left quite an impact on fans and continued to hone her acting skills which helped her to be cast in the new Star Wars series. While her role is yet to be disclosed, she has recently spoken about her role.
Dafne Keen Shared New Details About Her Character in The Acolyte
The 18-year-old actress, Dafne Keen has opened up about her new role in the Star Wars franchise as she will now be holding a lightsaber! She is now associated with the upcoming Disney+ series, The Acolyte which is set at the end of the High Republic era prior to the main events happening in the franchise.
While her mysterious character is to be unveiled, she shared in an interview with Screenrant,
“I can’t say much. I can say she’s an alien… she’s pretty badass. She gets to play a bit with lightsabers, which I love.”
She concluded her hint by stating that it was a real “honor to be a Jedi.” She has continued to drop hints about the upcoming show as she added that this series will be a kind of explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi.
“It’s a Sith-led story, which has never been done before… It’s been really fun to film — the cast is amazing, and the director and crew are just lovely. The whole experience is wonderful, and I’m already excited for people to see it.”
While fans are excited to see her as a Jedi in the upcoming series, they are still hoping for her to be cast as X-23 again.
Fans Want Marvel to Cast Dafne Keen for The Role of X-23 in Deadpool 3
Deadpool is one of the fan-favorite film series that was a critical and commercial success. Both the installments starred Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool who was first seen in the X-Men franchise but became a great anti-hero character. Reynolds taking the lead in the third installment, Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine is also set to share the screen.
Their reunion in the MCU has opened doors for possibilities which could mean that X-23 also has a chance to feature in the film. Ever since Wolverine’s entry into the franchise is announced, fans are pleading with Marvel to get Keen onboard as well.

As happy as a I am that Hugh Jackman Is coming back for Deadpool 3, my greatest hope is that this means Daphne Keen still has a significant chance at returning as X-23. We need a Wolverine that can grow with the role and it’d be awesome to see him pass it to her.

While there is no news about X-23 or the young actress’ involvement in the upcoming Marvel film, fans are still waiting for some good announcement.
Deadpool 3 is set to release in theatres on November 8, 2024.
