Laura Linney has always shown in her work just how wonderful of an actress she is. From working alongside Jim Carrey in The Truman Show to starring in a show as well-liked as Ozark, her range is one loved by many. Following her success, she has often found herself in some peculiar positions time and again.
One such position she was put in was during a date that took an unexpected turn. Not to see it in a positive or a negative manner, but more so in a peculiar manner. She found herself going on a date with a person where she was met with an extremely awkward yet hilarious circumstance, confusing her about whether the man in front of her was indeed a man or a feline stuck in a man.

Laura Linney’s Awkward Date
Laura Linney once revealed in an interview with The Graham Norton Show that she had gone on one date which became an extremely different situation from what she had first anticipated it to be. She talked about how when she was sitting in front of him, the two were very casually conversing at the dinner table.
“I went out on one date with one guy we’re at the dinner table. All of a sudden he went, ‘meow.’ How do you- What do you do with that? I mean it was hilarious.”
It was then that the entire situation turned. The man, out of nowhere just began meowing like a cat. It was not just one sound, but he kept going on and on about it. Linney found herself confused in that situation, unable to decide what way she should even react to such a situation that she could not stop herself from laughing at him from within.
Laura Linney Let Her Date Continue
Laura Linney let her curiosity get the best of her. Talking on The Graham Norton Show, the actress revealed that she became too intrigued about what the man would do next and how he would navigate the situation from then on. She patiently stayed on the date, observing him and trying to understand just what inspired him to do so.
“I just let him kept going. I was like, ‘Let’s see where this goes.’ Is it gonna go for more? Are we leading into another animal sound? I was just- and to watch the face with the noise, like the message underneath the meow. It is burned in my brain.”
Linney further questioned whether or not the man would have a range in his animal noises or if he was restricted to a cat alone.
