While the film was not received very well by critics, its box office success would lead to two subsequent movies, and the series was concluded with the 2018 threequel. However, according to Dornan, the fans of the franchise are not only still actively engaged but have also invented some of the craziest rumors about him and his co-star.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Donana suggested that the enthusiasm surrounding the romantic drama series remains, as he debunked the craziest rumor involving him and his co-star, Dakota Johnson.

Based on E. L. James’ novel series of the same name, the Fifty Shades trilogy revolves around the complex, passionate relationship between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, portrayed by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, respectively. Since the trilogy’s release, the stars have become the subject of numerous rumors.
These rumors and speculations ranged from claims of strained co-star relations to romantic involvement off-screen. However, the Heart of Stone actor revealed the wildest rumor he heard of involving him and his Fifty Shades of Grey co-star in a recent interview.
“They’ve got all kinds of mad theories. Like that Dakota and I have a child together,” he told The Guardian as he expressed his disbelief, “I don’t know who they think brings it up!” The actor also talked about it in an earlier interview with Variety.
He shared that he once received a “collage of photographs of a kid” with a note about his on-screen character, Christian Grey. “It was a bit freaky,” the actor shared as he explained that the note claimed that he has a secret 7-year-old child with Dakota Johnson that they had while filming the first film of the trilogy.
Jamie Dornan Opened Up About Stalking Incident
Apart from crazy fan theories, Jamie Dornan also opened up about a harrowing experience that involved stalking and prompted him to involve authorities. “At one point, we had a stalking, getting-the-authorities involved situation,” he shared.
Speaking candidly about the dark side of fame, The Tourist actor also recalled the incident when some “bullsh*t tabloid” invaded his privacy by publishing pictures of his home. He also mentioned how in recent years, such things have evolved into a different form of intrusion, as it has now shifted to his Instagram posts. “I get all kinds of mad stuff on Instagram, which I’m quite fearful of if I’m honest. So I stay away from it,” he said, admitting that he is still quite uneasy about the unusual and intrusive nature of such comments.
