Ant-Man 3 was released last week and the film does not seem to have very pleasant reviews. While the critics described the film as a “lackluster blockbuster,” many fans do not share the same opinion. The film has received mixed reviews. Although the threequel has an 84% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the critics’ score continued to fall down, taking it further down to 47%. The rating has made it the second Marvel film to have a Rotten status on the review-aggregation website.

Ant-Man Joins Eternals As Worst Marvel Movie Ever

Followed by what fans described as a disastrous phase, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had the responsibility of launching the next phase of the MCU. While many expected the Paul Rudd feature to have the potential to hit start phase 5 of the MCU, not everyone was sure that the minuscule Avenger was strong enough to take on the next supervillain of the MCU.

And they didn’t hesitate to voice their opinion after the film’s release. The film suffered a steady decline in its ratings, debuting with a 79% critic score and ending up with 47% so far.

It not only received Rotten ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, but critics have also described it as the “worst” and “bland” film ever. As of now, Ant-Man 3 has joined the 2021 Marvel film, Eternals to receive the worst critic score on the review aggregator. The Peyton Reed film now has the same critic score as the 2021 film.

Considering that it’s not even been a week since its release, the ratings would likely go down further in the coming days. This is certainly not good news for the threequel. Dropping its ranking further below 47% could also make it the worst-rated MCU film on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, not every Marvel fan feels the same way about Ant-Man 3. And like others, they also took to social media to share their opinion and defend the film.

Fans shared that the critics are continuously comparing the new MCU films with the superhits like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. They also pointed out how critics are “review bombing” the film, as they called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania the best Ant-Man movie so far.

They claimed out the threequel is way much better than Marvel films like Love and Thunder and Eternals. Fans praised the film to introduced Jonathan Majors as the next Supervillain and setting up the upcoming phases of the MCU. Fans called out critics, saying that Ant-Man 3 should have received a better rating than it did.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is playing in theatres now.
