Bleach is one of the Big Three of anime. Even though it did not reach the same popularity as Naruto and One Piece, it still played a crucial role in changing the course of the manga and anime industry for the better. Bleach revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki, who met a female shinigami, Rukia Kuchiki, and later became a substitute shinigami.

Tite Kubo did a great job with his magnum opus, but the fans always felt that the ending was rushed and could have been explored more. While most fans thought it was due to Shueisha forcing Kubo to wrap up the manga in a limited time, it was actually the mangaka who wanted the manga to end. The Thousand Year Blood War arc suffered a rushed ending.

Bleach was supposed to end after the Fullbringer arc, the last arc before it went on a long hiatus. The Thousand Year Blood War arc was later added to give the popular manga a proper ending. However, the fans felt that the ending was too rushed and left a negative impression. It was revealed that Shueisha gave Tite Kubo a deadline of one year to wrap up his magnum opus, which led to the backlash.

But after several years, the mangaka revealed that he had personal reasons behind ending Bleach. Tite Kubo was suffering from a torn tendon on his left shoulder. His physical health was deteriorating, and he did not want to leave an unfinished manga. So, Kubo asked Shuiesha to give him a year or two to finish Bleach. The publisher gave him one year, and he completed the Thousand Year Blood War arc within the given time.

Tite Kubo is not the only one who had to end his magnum opus abruptly. The Mangaka often has a tight schedule, which leads to physical and mental problems. As a result, he cannot give his best to a job that is already full of pressure. Yoshihiro Togashi is one of the many mangaka who had to abruptly end Yu Yu Hakusho due to his health issues. Moreover, Kubo never got a chance to have surgery and concluded the manga with his torn tendon.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Anime Will Be Different From the Manga

Bleach went on a hiatus after the Fullbringer arc, and almost after a decade, it came back with its final arc, the Thousand Year Blood War arc. The Quincy leader, Yhwach, will take action against the Soul Society. The manga received criticism due to its rushed ending, so Tite Kubo joined the production to make the necessary changes. Several crucial aspects were missing from the manga and were later added to the anime.

Many new Bankai have been introduced along with new sequences. It has received positive feedback from the fans. The arc has been divided into several parts, with the third part about to be released soon. Even though the mangaka’s health conditions led to the downfall of the series, his involvement with the anime is bringing back the glory days and reinstating Bleach as one of the Big Three of anime.
