Starring in the role of Bella Swan gave Stewart the freedom and fame in Hollywood. The movie also gave her Robert Pattinson, but the couple eventually parted ways. As the interview with Variety further progressed, the Snow White and the Huntsman actress talked about how Twilight was a gay movie!

“I can only see it now. I don’t think it necessarily started off that way, but I also think that the fact that I was there at all, it was percolating. It’s such a gay movie. I mean, Jesus Christ, Taylor [Lautner] and Rob and me, and it’s so hidden and not OK.”

She further continued,

“I mean, a Mormon woman wrote this book. It’s all about oppression, about wanting what’s going to destroy you. That’s a very Gothic, gay inclination that I love.”

The actress was last seen in 2022’s Crimes of the Future as she is reportedly in her “don’t care” era. Kristen Stewart is currently associated with 5 upcoming projects, while her iconic Twilight franchise is available to stream on Peacock Premium in the U.S.
