However, there are a few unique examples that showcase how even divorces can take a positive direction with unhindered cooperation, the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. Regardless, the ex-couple has nurtured a healthy relationship even after their rough patch. Garcia who is also Johnson’s business partner put her past behind and successfully raised their 22-year-old daughter Simone Johnson together. In a recent interview, Johnson candidly shared his journey from splitting up with Garcia to being great friends post-divorce.

“You’ve got a lot to learn. So, that’s what we wid. And it wound up being a great decision.”
Dwayne Johnson and Garcia divorced seven years after the birth of their first child, Simone in 2001. Reason Behind Dwayne Johnson and Danny Garcia’s Divorce
The Rock has addressed his separation with Garcia in multiple interviews, although, his reasoning remained constant. The Black Adam actor shared that his divorce with Garcia was unlike the mainstream. They continued to be friends and do business. Furthermore, he explained that marriage did not seem to be their cup of tea. Johnson told Oprah Winfrey in an interview of her 2020 Vision Tour,
“It was just… marriage wasn’t in our cards. Great friends. Marriage wasn’t in our cards, but we both had an appetite for business and to accomplish things. And we thought, well, what if we continued to do business together?”
Similarly, the Samoan star admitted in another interview with CNN that the ex-couple failed to meet the expectations of their marriage which led to the separation. Nonetheless, he considered himself fortunate to have that kind of understanding with Garcia that allowed them to continue doing business together.
