Vagabond remains one of the few manga that has a massive fandom, even though it went on a hiatus more than a decade ago. Vagabond’s mangaka, Takehiko Inoue, could not cope with the spectacular details and found it difficult to find passion in his work. The manga belongs to the Seinen genre and has 37 volumes now. While the fans have lost all hope surrounding the manga, recent news got their heart beating faster again.

Recently, it was revealed that Studio Fortiche wants to adapt Vagabond into an anime. It is great news for the fans, but it remains a desire for the studio. Even though there has been no official confirmation, the fans have already found the best voice actor for Musashi Miyamoto’s role. He has one of the best voices in the anime and manga industry, and his joining the project could be huge news.

Recently, Studio Fortiche’s co-founder Pascal Charrue was involved in an interview with Crunchyroll. When he was asked about his dream project, he mentioned Vagabond without hesitation. Since then, the internet has gone ablaze, and wants Vagabond to be adapted into an anime soon. Studio Fortiche is well known for creating Arcane. Among so much hype, the fans have chosen Kenjiro Tsuda to be the voice actor for adult Musashi Miyamoto.

Kenjiro Tsuda has tackled several important roles like Jujutsu Kaisen’s Nanami Kento, My Hero Academia’s Overhaul, The Way of the House Husband’s Tatsu, and many more. His voice is calming yet holds a lot of depth. His dialogue delivery feels like a wave of emotions. He can take upon any character’s voice and make the people feel connected with that character.

Most of his roles have been side characters, but they often stand out more than the main characters. When a character requires a particularly tough personality, Kenjiro Tsuda is the best choice for that role. Considering adult Musashi Miyamoto has a calm nature and is hiding a lot of pain, there might be no one better than Kenjiro Tsuda to voice. Miyamoto’s dialogues often hold significant meanings, and he does not want unnecessary violence.

A simple nod or a smirk tells a lot about him. The magic in Tsuda’s voice could bring out the pain in him and a simple ‘Hmmm” tells a million stories. Apart from the depth, Tsuda’s voice is also charismatic. He projects authority over others. The toughness and gravitas could potentially bring out the best in Vagabond’s protagonist. The voice needs to match the personality.

Most of Kenjiro Tsuda’s roles hold less speaking personalities. Nanami Kento from Jujutsu Kaisen was not someone who liked to chitchat, yet his dialogues had a lot of volume. Even Tatsu from The Way of the House Husband had certain gravitas thanks to his voice actor. Gloomy and stiff people with a lot going on their minds are his kind of people.

After hearing his voice, fans feel that there is no one could have portrayed the role better than him. There are tons of good voice artists, but Kenjiro Tsuda leaves a long-lasting impression on the viewers’ minds due to the warmth in his voice. If Studio Fortiche ever takes a step towards landing Vagabond, the first they must do is to sign Kenjiro Tsuda. It could become a massive hit even before its release.

Vagabond is available on Viz.
