The first trailer for The Boys season 4 has been released, giving us a glimpse of the chaos ahead. Also, it has shown how, much to the delight of Homelander, the world is being politically torn apart. This clip by Prime Video does not give a solid release date, just putting it as “coming soon” in 2024.
It can be seen in the trailer that Homelander is the central point in the series and much of the focus will be on the battle between Starlight and Homelander.
Homelander’s Sinister Plan in The Boys 4
The world is on the brink in The Boys season four, reads the official description of the show. And, as we could see Victoria Neuman and Homelander (Anthony Starr) fighting for the Oval Office, fans notice how Susan Heyward’s Sister Sage is telling Homelander to let the people tear themselves apart over the supe war.
“Rome, Greece, all democracies fail. Because people are f—n’ stupid. But if you crush the masses, who builds your monuments, whose tongues your taint? No, the people will tear apart themselves,” Sister Sage says to Homelander in the trailer.
It was planned in such a way that Homelander could come save the day and become the hero.
“You just gotta nudge them a little. Then you get to swoop in and be the one saving it… Like Caesar,” Sister Sage adds.
“Like Caesar?” Homelander asks.
“Like Caesar,” Sage replies. We then see a load of action.

The anticipation for the show is high. Just have to wait maybe for a few months now.

Do You Need to Watch Gen V Before Going into The Boys 4?
The Boys Season 4 takes place just a few days after Gen V Season 1 ends, and viewers who have already experienced Gen V will find this temporal proximity useful. So, the crucial question arises: Do you need to watch Gen V before starting The Boys Season 4?
Showrunner Eric Kripke told fans that they don’t have to watch Gen V in order to get ready for The Boys Season 4 in an insightful conversation with Men’s Health. But he made a few references to storylines and areas of plot from Gen V that would have a big impact on the next season.
He stated:
“If you just want to watch The Boys without watching Gen V, that’s great, if you want to watch Gen V without watching The Boys, that’s great too. If not both of these shows, we just want you watching one of them, and not have it feel like homework.”
The first few episodes of The Boys Season 4 are expected to focus on the consequences of the storylines that Gen V started.
