The Marksman actor who appeared on the popular US talk show The View to speak about his neo-noir thriller, was faced with his host Joy Behar’s confessions that she had a massive crush on him. This led to the conversation about his film being continuously diverted to Behar’s fangirling which left Neeson rather irritated. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the Ordinary Love star said,

“And then our segment starts and it’s just all this BS with Joy and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi [Goldberg] for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed. I’m uncomfortable in those situations, you know?”

Neeson went on to admit that he was fortunate to have a meaningful conversation after the show ended, with one of the hosts who was a prosecutor. The celebrity was grateful that his embarrassing encounter on the show was quickly forgotten thanks to this small but significant interaction.

Liam Neeson Did Not Do James Bond For This Reason

Before Pierce Brosnan was cast as James Bond in a series of films in the late 90s and early 2000s, many actors were considered by producer Barbara Broccoli for the role. One of the stars in the reckoning to play the secret agent was Liam Neeson. The Blacklight actor revealed that he was asked by Broccoli if he was interested in taking on the role but eventually refused it owing to his late wife Natasha Richardson’s ultimatum to him. Speaking to Rolling Stone, the actor said,

“And then my lovely wife [Natasha Richardson], God rest her soul, said to me while we were shooting Nell down in the Carolinas, “Liam, I want to tell you something. If you play James Bond, we’re not getting married.”
