However, Mazin denied any association with the film. He claimed that he isn’t a credited writer of the film; hence, he does not claim any kind of authorship of the film. Not just this, but the writer also denied writing the book under any pen name. Mazin said,

“I am not a credited writer on the film, so I cannot claim any kind of authorship of Borderlands, much less “co-writing.” I did see the report about the pseudonym, which is false. I did not use a pseudonym. If the name in question is indeed a pseudonym, all I can say is… it’s not mine.”

Though the rumors about Mazin writing the Borderlands movie have been busted, it would be interesting to see how the movie goes without Mazin.

Since it has been clarified by Craig Mazin that he isn’t part of the Borderlands film by any chance, it has been reported that the film is supposed to be written by Zak Olkewicz, Gary Ross, Aaron Berg, Juel Taylor, Tony Rettenmaier, Oren Uziel, and Chris Bremner.

According to the reports, it has been suggested that the film is currently in “post-production hell” following some reshoots and rewrites. Though the film is going through a hectic post-production phase, the actor in the film, Jamie Lee Curtis, is still hopeful for its release by the next year.
