Besides making her mark in intense dramas, Ana De Armas has shown her penchant for action in the James Bond film No Time to Die and The Gray Man. The star is taking her love for action further with Ghosted, also starring Marvel actor Chris Evans, which will release on April 21st, 2023, on Apple TV+. De Armas spoke about how she prepared for doing her own stunts and her Hollywood inspiration for nailing action sequences.

Ana De Armas admitted that action always excited her. The star who was seen in a swashbuckling role in Russo brothers’ The Gray Man, has pushed her body even further by doing her own stunts in her upcoming film Ghosted. Speaking of the challenges that she faced to train her body for difficult stunts, De Armas said,

“It’s demanding and painful and your body is hurting everywhere, but it’s also very rewarding as I saw myself getting better at it,”

The No Time to Die actor did not have to look far for inspiration. After seeing Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise doing his own death-defying stunts in Top Gun: Maverick as well as in his earlier films like Mission Impossible, Ana De Armas was more motivated than ever to up her game. Speaking of Cruise, she said,

But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He’s so mind-blowing,”

Though De Armas admitted that she still had a long way to go to reach Tom Cruise’s level, she enjoyed the experience of performing her own action sequences, as it gave her a big high and a sense of satisfaction as well.

Ana De Armas Teams Up With Chris Evans For The Third Time

Ghosted starring Ana De Armas and Chris Evans is an action comedy in which De Armas will play a secret agent. The two stars have earlier collaborated on two films before this, namely Knives Out and The Gray Man. Ghosted will be their third film together and their first in which they are paired romantically. Both De Armas and Evans spoke about the easy friendship they shared over the three films and how this helped to create their chemistry on the big screen.

While Evans and De Armas aren’t confirmed to work on any upcoming projects together after Ghosted, they joked about the next genre they hope to collaborate on. The Captain America actor said that he would love to do a musical with his co-star, while the Blonde star contemplated that they could work well in a musical or horror film.
