And surprisingly, Marvel Studios stomped on the hearts of fans by killing off two of their favorite characters, Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow.

Ever since then, fans have been trying out theories that could resurrect the actors, after their fall in Avengers: Endgame. Netizens even began rumors of Kevin Feige and the studio exes planning on bringing back Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson. But nothing got confirmed by Marvel Studios.

In fact, several reports indicated Marvel was considering bringing Robert Downey Jr back for another appearance as Tony Stark. This sparked curiosity and hope among fans until Kevin Feige recently addressed the rumors at the red-carpet world premiere event for The Marvels in Las Vegas.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Kevin Feige was asked about the rumors and the potential plans of bringing back Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. Directly addressing the question, of “some fallen Avengers could make their return” in the upcoming Avengers movies, Feige gave a blunt response.
