Hollywood actress Emma Stone won her second Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for the 2023 film Poor Things. As Stone made her way to collect the award, her friend and singer, Taylor Swift, jumped to her feet, clapping and cheering for her.
When the Cruella star was asked about the Grammy-winning singer’s enthusiastic support for her later in the press room, she playfully remarked, “What an a—hole, am I right?” However, the statement was nothing more than a playful quip by the actress, as she further shared that she was happy that Swift was present at the event.
“I’ve known her for almost 20 years, and I was very happy she was there,” she said. The actress also shared that Taylor Swift was also nominated before once again adding, “But what an a–hole.” The Cardigan singer received a Golden Globes nomination for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
As for any bad blood between the two, it seems unlikely, and Stone’s statement seemed more like a playful jest directed at the reporter, who asked for her thoughts on her long-time friend supporting her on her win at the 81st Golden Globes.
