Marvel’s Multiverse Saga has been a major dud since its phase 4 and only a few projects like Loki did justice to the concept of multiverse. However, things are about to get crazier at the MCU with Ryan ReynoldsDeadpool & Wolverine promising a true multiversal adventure. Not only does the film bring Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together, but it will also probably have a significant impact on the larger MCU storyline.

However, when asked about their roles in this larger MCU storyline, both the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ and the ‘adamantium-clawed mutant’ decided to play coy. During their interview with the latest ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ edition of Empire Magazine, Reynolds humorously revealed that he was very nervous talking about Deadpool’s future in the MCU.

Jackman also agreed with Reynolds when he shared that he was never as scared to open his mouth as he was now. Both of them feared that they could accidentally reveal something crucial about the film, that could ruin the film for the viewers. Reynolds shared with Empire (via @DeadpoolUpdate):

“I’m very nervous talking to you.”

Jackman added:

Fans speculate that both these actors have significant roles in the upcoming Multiverse Saga films. If those rumors were true, Reynolds and Jackman probably wouldn’t want to make the same mistake as Mark Ruffalo and blurt out spoilers of potential films or the current film. Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk, is infamous for accidental spoiler reveals during the Infinity Saga films.

Mark Ruffalo has made numerous mistakes when it comes to leaking crucial plot points. He became a meme when he accidentally live-streamed a portion of Thor: Ragnarok through his Facebook (via THR). He was live-streaming the premiere event but forgot to turn off the live when the movie started screening. Later, he accidentally revealed the climax of Avengers: Infinity War during an appearance on Good Morning America. He shared:

“[About Thor: Ragnarok] Like every other Marvel superhero movie, it doesn’t end well for the superheroes. Wait until you see the next one [Infinity War]. Ha – everybody dies!”

He also ruined Captain America’s fate at the end of Avengers: Endgame when he accidentally revealed, “He gets married in this!”, during a promotional interview with E! News. The Poor Things also gave away the title of Avengers: Endgame before it was officially announced during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
