After their epic throwdown in 2021, Godzilla and King Kong are joining forces in the highly anticipated sequel, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. This new adventure from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures promises to be a deep dive into the history of these titans.
According to the official description, the film will delve into the secrets of Skull Island and beyond, uncovering the legendary battle that forged these awe-inspiring creatures and their mysterious connection to humanity.
Following the monumental success of Godzilla vs. Kong, this sequel marks the fifth installment in the thrilling MonsterVerse franchise, which includes previous blockbusters such as Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), and the aforementioned showdown between Godzilla and Kong. Meanwhile, in one clip, Kong is seen trying to communicate with Godzilla in the movie and fans think it’s not a good move by Legendary Pictures.
A New Clip Dropped for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Again
Fans are extremely hyped for the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire which is the continuation of the story of Godzilla vs. Kong. HBO Max, Warner Bros., and Legendary Entertainment together decided to make a major crossover between Godzilla and King Kong to serve the MonsterVerse with epic battles and compelling narratives.
In the upcoming film, Godzilla and Kong will return to finish their battle. But while fans wait until this epic battle hits the big screens, what concerns them is the frequent dropping of movie clips. Recently, a new clip was released where we see Kong trying to communicate with Godzilla.
Godzilla vs. Kong director, Adam Wingard, in an interview with Slash Film talked about non-verbal communication. He said:
“They’re fully fleshed out, realized characters that have all these nonverbal communication moments. I think that’s the thing I’m most proud of.”
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire stars returning Godzilla vs. Kong actors Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle alongside Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen.
What Fans Had to Say About These Frequent Clip Releases?
While the first trailer for the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong gave us a glimpse into their upcoming adventure, showcasing Godzilla’s surprising transformation, the introduction of the Skar King in the Monsterverse, Kong’s new weapon, and more, the second trailer gives us even more hints about the epic showdown awaiting the two iconic Titans.
While fans are buzzing with excitement, Legendary Pictures keeps pouring new clips and that makes fans frustrated.
