Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Is Taking One Last Swing At Winning The Oscars This Year
According to Variety, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has been nominated for the Visual Effects Oscar this year, as it faces the likes of Godzilla Minus One, Napoleon and others in the category.
It is to be noted that this is James Gunn’s last swing at winning that particular award, as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 were unable to win the same exact award despite being nominated in their respective years. We’ll have to wait and see if the film will end up winning this time around.
What Happened In The Final Guardians of The Galaxy Film?
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 provided an emotional sendoff to everyone’s favorite characters in the epic space saga. The film particularly gave purpose to beloved characters like Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Drax The Destroyer.
The ending of the movie saw Rocket Raccoon discovering a whole colony of raccoons, expressing his desire to take care of them. Gamora returned to her own family while acknowledging that Star-Lord isn’t a bad person. Nebula, Drax, and Groot also received appropriate endings. However, fans might not have seen the last of these iconic characters on the silver screen.
