As stated before, the first major project for the DCU, an animated series titled Creature Commandos, is all set to release sometime this year, which will officially begin the reign of James Gunn and Peter Safran as the visionaries over the new franchise. But probably more than that, fans are excited to learn what Gunn has in store for us with the upcoming Superman: Legacy.

And now, the filmmaker has decided to elaborate on his promise by sharing a few updates with the fans.

Seeing as the sets are being prepared, along with all the necessary tools and pieces of equipment being readied with locations being traveled to, Gunn has managed to satiate the hunger of the fans with these few words. As for the cast, it was already revealed that David Corenswet will be donning the iconic suit and cape for the role of the titular superhero, while Rachel Brosnahan will be playing the role of Lois Lane.

As per his comments made on Threads while replying to a fan, he confirmed that more than 90% of the cast has been finalized for the project, which also boasts of Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and many other stars in their respective roles. Thus, all that is left for the project is to bring all of them together and start rolling the camera.
