The two also managed to agree on their center-back choices. Carragher named Ruben Diaz from Man City and Kim Min Jae from Bayern, to which Neville agreed.
The two also agree for Inter’s Dimarco at Left Back. That is where the agreement between the two virtually ends. Coming to the other flank, the duo seemed to disagree even while the video was being filmed.
Carragher went for Trent from Liverpool, while Neville had the unconventional choice with John Stones. Neville also said he couldn’t pick Trent because Liverpol’s previous season was worse than subpar. The duo then proceeded to defend their choices for the position. Neville also shared how, as per him, Trent was also at a point last year where he could have been dropped from the team so that he couldn’t go for him. But the duo managed to reach a consensus and went with Trent.
Coming to the park’s center, the two unanimously decided on Rodri to be in their combined TOTY XI, who has been the treble winner and the sole scorer in the UCL final won by City. The second midfielder agreed upon by both Carragher and Neville was the English wonderboy Jude Bellingham, who has been phenomenal for both Dortmund and the Galacticos.
The third individual was another point of contention for the two pundits as Neville went for KDB, and Carra went for Bernardo Silva. Carra then mentioned how De Bruyne has been out all season, so voting for him might not be worth it. He also explained that Silva had been City’s best player.
In the end, the two decide to go with Silva. For the final third of the pitch, the two agreed on Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe as two sure-shot inclusions. As for the third sport, Carragher asserted that Messi should cut, to which Neville disagreed, saying that the World Cup happened in 2022. Neville mentioned that Vini Jr. should deserve the spot instead of the Argentine World Champion
