It has been more than a year since Ms. Marvel alongside She-Hulk and Moon Knight was proposed as an addition to Marvel Studios Disney+ show projects. However, the series got its making delayed like everything else in the entertainment industry. Before someone ate a bat and a pandemic hit upon us, it was rumored that the production for Ms. Marvel would start around April. Since the productions were shut, Marvel Studios were as well unable to complete their hunt for the protagonist of the show, Kamala Khan.

As life seems to be inching toward a return to normalcy after the roughest few months of history, Hollywood has started to gear up for some of its big releases. It has been reported that Marvel Studios seems to have finally started casting its key characters for the coming show Ms. Marvel.

Actors Jasjit Williams and Saagar Shaikh are reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of the television series. Although it hasn’t been confirmed what roles they would play if they ended up signing, it’s being suggested that Williams would be Bruno Carrelli, known in the comics as a tech expert, a friend, and a potential love interest of Kamala Khan. As for Shaikh, his role would be that of Aamir Khan, Kamala’s older brother.

All we decipher from this is that Ms. Marvel is finally developing its cast. While Marvel Studios is yet to identify the actress who will be portraying the show’s lead, these first reports of actors attached to the series hint us that the role of Kamala Khan’s announcement would be coming soon.

With the inclusion of these two characters, it is being presumed that more information about the cast would possibly be released in the coming weeks. The character of Kamala Khan is that of a Pakistani-American Muslim and shows her parents’ migration from India to Pakistan during the turbulent partition era. Earlier in July, it was rumored that the character of Ms. Marvel will also be appearing in the sequel to Captain Marvel.

If all goes well, Ms. Marvel is set to debut on Disney+ sometime around 2022. With the casting process coming to a conclusion and the filming process marching towards its origin, it should only be a matter of time before more big reveals make their way into the news stream.
