Actor Jason Momoa played the swordmaster Duncan Idaho in Dennis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One. He starred along with an ensemble cast consisting of Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Fergusson, Stellan Skarsgård, and Dave Bautista. The film is based on the popular sci-fi novel series Dune by Frank Herbert.

The film follows the royal family Atreides who leave their home planet to rule the desert planet Arrakis and are subject to a terrible conspiracy by the rival kingdom, the Harkonnens. Momoa played the role of Duncan Idaho, a member of the Duke Leto Atreides’ army and swordmaster to the prince Paul Atreides, who is played by Chalamet.

In an interview on the talk show The Ellen Show, Jason Momoa revealed that he was kicked by Timothée Chalamet with his knee while filming a pivotal scene. The Aquaman star said,

“He is definitely one of the top five ball busters in my life…we had a scene where we running to each other and he just put that knee right into me. But he did not take me down.”

Despite being kicked by the Wonka star, Momoa was proud that he did not let himself be taken down by the young star and said that he was a wonderful man.

Being a huge action star comes with its perks and Jason Momoa has been victim to many of such ‘perks’ while filming all the action-heavy films he is a part of. The actor revealed on The Ellen Show all the injuries he sustained while filming for his latest DCU installment Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

The actor reportedly got hurt in his eyes and various other parts of his body while filming for the James Wan directorial. He said,

“I’m getting old. I messed up my eyes. I just got something in it that kinda cut it up, and then I’ve gotta get surgery, I have a hernia, I’ve got ribs out. I’m just getting beat up.”

However, he assured the crowd on the show who were concerned that his eyesight was fine and that he was excited about performing stunts despite his aging. The previous year, Momoa had survived an accident where a biker hit the actor’s muscle car and sustained injuries.

Jason Momoa also once revealed that he had let cold water into his wet suit resulting in a freezing moment on set while filming for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The actor reportedly let out the air forming in his wet suit while he was filming in the water in Iceland, which resulted in ice-cold water going into his wet suit.
