JCVD Reunites With His The Last Mercenary Director
Jean-Claude Van Damme is soon to star in another action comedy, Le jardinier, opposite Michael Youn (BDE). He will reunite with his The Last Mercenary director, David Charhon, in a bid to give his audiences yet another hit project. This time, the movie’s rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video for France, while Other Angle Pictures will handle international sales.
Le jardinier will also star Nawell Madani, Kaaris, Ragnar Le Breton, Carla Poquin, and Jérôme Le Banner. The movie will be shot in locations from Belgium and France and will be produced by Sébastien Fechner from Rose Prods. The movie is set to start shooting on 5th February 2024.

Le jardinier follows Serge and his family, who hold a state secret, because of which they get on the death list of government officials. To solve this, they come up with a plan involving their strange gardener, Leo. David Charhon and JCVD have already proved their partnership with The Last Mercenary, so hopes are high for this one. What’s more, the studio is appreciative of the director and thinks the actor is still “bankable.”
