In the documentary, Cameron recalled that the True Lies star was not his “cheerful self” when they met to discuss the script of the sequel. And he assumed that there might be something he did not like in the script, so he asked him the same. And Schwarzenegger said that he was not happy as his character did not kill anyone in the film.

“Arnold and I were going to meet and talk about the script. So I sit down and I can see he’s not his usual cheerful self. I go, ‘What’s the matter? You don’t like it?’ He goes, ‘Jim… I don’t kill anybody.'”

Although he did not like the idea of changing his character’s primary goal in the sequel, he did admit that the films cannot follow the same storyline for every other sequel.

“Whenever you do a sequel, you cannot just do the same story,” he said before adding, “In ‘Terminator 1,’ I was this evil machine that just destroyed anyone and everyone who came in my path. And in the second one, I say, ‘I swear I will not kill anyone.”

Arnold is now streaming on Netflix.
