John Cena is hotly anticipated to make an appearance in Royal Rumble 2024. Given that CM Punk is expected to be part of the show as well, fans are expecting the two arch-rivals to have a showdown, like in the old days of WWE.
CM Punk’s return last year was a surprise for fans everywhere. The Second City Saint has had a long-standing rivalry with John Cena and is in the running to be the champion of the Royal Rumble starting a few hours from now. Fans would be completely floored if Cena were to make an appearance and challenge his long-time rival, reigniting one of the most potent rivalries in WWE history.

CM Punk has a unique approach in mind for the Royal Rumble
While a lot of wrestlers declared early for Men’s Royal Rumble, CM Punk had a very different approach in mind. The Second City Son revealed:
“There are many different schools of thought to this. Obviously, strategically, you want to be number 30. I feel like a lot of professional wrestlers want to be number one to prove that they can be the Iron Man, and also win at the same time. Me, being how old I am now, give me number 30.”
The Royal Rumble has a history of surprise entrants, one of which could be John Cena. Cena and Punk have had a longstanding rivalry, working together for various events. One of the many reasons that the man quit WrestleMania, was having his main event with Cen stolen and given to the Rock instead

While there has been no official announcement, fans have come up with a wishlist and what they are willing to do, just to see the two legendary rivals lock heads again before one of them (or perhaps both) end up going into WrestleMania.

As fans await the show to start, there is also a growing call to see Brock Lesner in the ring.
