In April, a letter to the New York Count Criminal Court by Major’s attorney was said to have stated that the actor was innocent and Jabbari had been the one ‘hitting, scratching, and attacking‘, with the actor later running away from her. The letter also mentions her allegedly going to a nightclub after allegedly assaulting Jonathan Majors.

Following these allegations and a cross-complaint, the accuser, Jabbari was later arrested at the end of October and was said to have been charged with misdemeanor as well as criminal mischief. However, she was released just after a day from a New York City police station, with the prosecution ruling lack of substantial evidence. As per NBC New York, a press secretary from the Prosecutor’s office stated,

“The Manhattan District Attorneys Office has officially declined to prosecute the case against Grace Jabbari because it lacks prosecutorial merit. The matter is now closed and sealed.”

Meanwhile, the trial against Majors’ is said to last for two weeks with the opening statements to be delivered on December 4. With things already appearing puzzling, it would be interesting to see what decision the jury reaches after the two-week trial.
