While the Marvel Cinematic Universe might’ve taken the world by storm with the release of 2008’s Iron Man, there was still something that fans felt was missing from the genre, which was R-rated superhero films from the cinematic juggernaut. This was fulfilled by 20th Century Fox when they brought Deadpool to the screen in 2016.

While he may have been a character from Marvel Comics, the rights to produce films were still with Fox Studios until they were acquired by Disney in 2019. Thus, after two successful films, the red-clad mercenary is finally home to Marvel Studios, and he has brought presents with him. Apart from bringing back Wolverine, it’s now being speculated that Cable would be joining the duo to make it a highly dysfunctional trio named X-Force.

While there might’ve been several attempts in the past to bring in characters from Marvel Comics that were considered appropriate for the mature audience, almost all of them fell short. Then, with the advent of Marvel Studios, there wasn’t much done in the explicit superhero department as most of the films were for teens. Then, Deadpool entered the scene and completely crushed it, becoming one of the most beloved characters from the Marvel Universe in an instant, thanks to its comical depictions along with mature themes in hilarious situations.

And after providing two successful films outside the MCU, the motormouth mercenary has made his way to Marvel Studios with the upcoming Deadpool 3. Said to be the first proper R-rated film in the franchise, Ryan Reynolds has a lot riding on his shoulders when it comes to delivering the best Deadpool experience possible. Thus, he also brought in his friend Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming film. But it looks like the surprises don’t stop there, as after a recent cryptic post by Reynolds on his Twitter, fans are feeling we might see the return of X-Force with new members.

As many might remember from Deadpool 2, X-Force was the team created by Wade Wilson to save Russel from prison, which was soon decimated before they could take action. Now, as the sequel already revealed the return of Jackman as the OG Mutant, it is not too far off to speculate the inclusion of Cable, played by Josh Brolin, to enter into the fray and form a whole new X-Force, considering that reports suggest some form of timeline-tampering shenanigans that Deadpool will be doing in the upcoming film.

While we might not know much about the upcoming film in terms of what it may hold, we can definitely theorize a basic outline. Since the film will be bringing back Jackman as Wolverine, many fans speculate the use of some timeline-jumping device, similar or the same as Cable’s gadget he used to jump to the past. If this is true, then we can expect the aforementioned X-Force to make its appearance soon enough.
