As the manga nears its conclusion, Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has become the talk of the anime community. After enduring the loss of his friends, Chapter 266 gave fans a heartfelt moment as they witnessed the innocent smile on Yuji Itadori’s face return after over 100 chapters. Following the tragic death of his mentor, Gojo Satoru, Yuji finds himself alone standing against the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna.
Gojo Satoru played a pivotal role in Jujutsu Kaisen‘s success, captivating several fans with his comedy and cocky personality traits. Since the beginning of the series, Gege Akutami portrayed Gojo as the strongest sorcerer and the only formidable opponent for Sukuna.
Unfortunately, the Six Eyes user lost his title of the strongest after the King of Curses slashed Gojo’s body in half during their final showdown. Although it has been over 30 chapters since Gojo’s sad demise, Gege Akutami filled Chapter 266 with numerous references and panels featuring the strongest sorcerer, leaving fans deeply moved.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 Showcases Multiple Gojo Panels, Stirring Deep Emotions in Fans
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 takes the entire internet by storm as Gege Akutami finally offers hope for Megumi Fushiguro’s survival. After taking over Megumi’s body, Sukuna made sure to break his soul and gain full control by brutally killing Tsumiki, Megumi’s sister. However, after interacting with Yuji in his domain, Megumi tries to fight back by unleashing a surprise attack on the King of Curses.

Besides hinting at Megumi’s survival, JJK‘s Chapter 266 featured several Gojo panels that left the fandom profoundly emotional. As Yuji Itadori catches Sukuna off guard in his domain, our beloved protagonist also manages to interact with Megumi’s soul. Surprisingly, Yuji and Megumi’s conversation happens in Fushiguro’s memory, where he first met Gojo.
This memory holds a special place in Megumi’s heart as it marks the moment when our beloved character’s life changed forever and he was introduced to the world of Jujutsu. However, instead of asking Gojo “What’s with that look?”, Megumi directs the question to Yuji, who smiles with tears in his eyes upon seeing his best friend.
Second Gojo’s reference takes place when Megumi unleashes a surprise attack on Sukuna, while the King of Curses gets overwhelmed by Yuji. Despite Gojo’s tragic death, Chapter 266 deeply moved several JJK fans with its numerous Gojo references. However, the Six Eyes user wasn’t the biggest highlight of Chapter 266, as Gege Akutami dropped a crucial hint about Nobara’s return, which many fans overlooked.
Gege Akutami Hints at Nobara’s Survival, Renewing Hopes for Jujutsu Kaisen’s Iconic Trio
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 left several fans emotionally scarred with the tragic deaths of two beloved characters, Nanami and Nobara. Surprisingly, Gege Akutami has remained secretive about Nobara’s existence after the Shibuya Incident Arc, keeping fans in suspense. However, Chapter 266 finally hints at our beloved female character’s survival as the manga highlights Yuji’s two missing fingers at the end of the chapter.
Back in Chapter 251, Sukuna was tricked into believing that Rika consumed the King of Curses’ last finger, which subsequently gave Yuta access to copy several of Sukuna’s Curse techniques. However, it’s shown that the last finger is still sealed somewhere and Rika might have eaten Yuji’s ring finger, shedding light on Yuta’s shallow attack compared to the original curse technique.
The revelation of the King of Curses’ last finger brings the old theory about Nobara’s survival back to light. In chapter 259, Gege revealed that Yuji was kept in the dark about a lot of information because of his resonance with Sukuna, which could have leaked crucial information. We already witnessed Nobara’s attack affect both body and soul, back when she defeated Mahito’s copy.
Therefore, the theory suggests Nobara could play a crucial role in the sorcerer’s victory against the King of Curses. Shockingly, Gege foreshadowed this numerous times, and even the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade theme song’s official music video featured several references.
By using her Resonance Curse Technique to damage the King’s last finger, Nobara would deal a surprising attack on Sukuna and assist Yuji in ultimately defeating the King of Curses. This will also let Gege Akutami conclude their manga by reuniting the iconic trio, leaving the audience awestruck.
