Jujutsu Kaisen has been going in strong since the beginning of season 2 and although fans have got a brilliant series for them, there have been some emotional and sad moments in the series. Events such as Nanami’s death and Toji meeting Megumi have made a huge impact on fans making them eager for the next episode.
Also now fans have anticipated that the show is going to go dark as deaths are piling on one after the other and just like Yuji fans can’t take it anymore. But according to Akutami and MAPPA, many manga fans must know that this is just the beginning of the dark cloud that is going to wrap around the series.
To indicate the depth of the difficulties that will be arriving in the future, the creators have made a slight change in the opening theme sequence of the series, that many fans may have not noticed yet. However, one hardcore Jujustu Kaisen fan pointed it out and it has indicated fans to be ready for a dark and bumpy ride in the future.

Jujutsu Kaisen changes its Opening Theme Sequence
During season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen changed its opening theme as the series moved on from Gojo’s past to the main events of Shibuya Arc. The opening theme also changed and Specialz by King Gnu was used as the new opening theme song. The opening sequence had a lot of easter eggs for the fans which fans were able to point out as the sequence was released.
The sequence featured all the jujutsu sorcerers, curses, Sukuna, Gojo, and almost everyone in Shibuya city moving towards a certain direction and some flashes of the future of the series. It was truly one of the best opening sequences Jujutsu Kaisen has ever seen since its beginning.

However, after the release of the 20th episode, one fan was able to point out a slight chance that the creators made in the opening sequence. This change showed the Shibuya city being destroyed from above. Also at the end of the sequence when Yuji is seen with other characters, the scene is changed and Yuji is shown standing alone. This change held a huge dark message for fans.

The change in the opening sequence is a big indication of what is going to happen in the future of the series. It was also kind of a warning from the creators to the fans that things are going to be extra dark and depressing from here on.
Fans called this move sick and twisted and are tensed about what is going to happen further in the series. One fan also pointed out that it may be possible that the creators may change it further and remove the march from the sequence altogether which would be a foul play.

The change in opening sequence is quite dark and fans are eager to see what lies ahead in the series and at the same time tensed and afraid about other dark turns the anime can take. Currently the plot is extremely intriguing and it just adds to the anticipation of fans.
