However, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240 depicts the fight progressing in an entirely unforeseen manner. While not as severe as some of the other chapters, this chapter provided fans with a new perspective on the plot, one that had been lacking for quite some time: comedy. While it may not match the intensity of recent chapters, it is a welcome change of pace.
Comedic relief has been a part of Jujutsu Kaisen since the beginning, but the recent chapters are much more intense as the story is going through a big battle. However, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami still found a way to make room for comedy in the most cynical way possible.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 240 Focuses on a Funny Kenjaku vs Takaba Fight
The fight between Takaba and Kenjaku was significantly featured in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240. This comes as no surprise to any fan because most of them expected this fight to be the center of attention. While Kenjaku does get the advantage that supporters expected, he does so in an unexpected fashion. Takaba was bringing things from his mind to life as long as he was laughing and believed the things around him were humorous, Kenjaku realized.
When Takaba began making hilarious looks, Kenjaku reacted with an even funnier expression, and by the end of it, it was Takaba who was laughing, and his cursed technique simply would not work. The fight between both of them had a funny aspect to it which was unusual looking at the environment of the battle scene. However, it turned cynical fast as the fight progressed and Kenjaku got the upper hand on Takaba.

Kenjaku vs Takaba Turns Cynical At the End of the Chapter
Takaba was on the defensive at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 240. He couldn’t laugh any longer, and he began to mistrust himself. Takaba thought he wasn’t witty enough, and that Kenjaku was far funnier. Takaba crawls ahead at the end of the chapter to satisfy himself that he is humorous, and as a result, he comes across Iori Hazenoki’s dead body. Takaba wonders how he can laugh at this after Kenjaku encourages him to laugh because he’s a comedian. As the issue comes to a close, Takaba wonders why he became a comedian in the first place.
The beginning of the chapter was introduced with comedy but as the story progressed, the fight between Takaba and Kenjaku turned dark, including self-doubt, laughing at dead bodies, and much more.
