Popular anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen shot to fame in late 2020 and early 2021, and its popularity led to a second season renewal shortly after the first one concluded. The final episode of the first season aired last month.
Even though the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen has finally come to an end, fans have already expressed a desire for more, as it made a significant comeback with its second season. To their astonishment, the Jujutsu Kaisen creators have recently announced the third season, which will adapt the manga’s Culling games arc. After season 2 concluded on December 28, 2023, a teaser trailer for season 3 was released.
However, no formal release window or date has been disclosed. Also, while the manga readers know what is going to happen in the third season, anime fans have no clue as to what holds in the future for Jujutsu Kaisen. Also, fans have been making speculations regarding the possible release date for the third season.

The anime production company Mappa, which is responsible for Jujutsu Kaisen, is known for announcing new seasons of shows rather quickly, and this one is no exception. On the other hand, the sequel might not be as near as fans believe it to be given MAPPA’s busy schedule for 2024.
Therefore, Jujutsu Kaisen season 3’s release window could be in late 2025 or early 2026 if one were to base their timeline on MAPPA’s schedule. The Culling Game Arc will be the next story to be adapted, according to the brief teaser trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen season three. Kenjaku’s plan will be revealed in the sequel, where he will set up a culling game that forces sorcerers and non-sorcerers to kill each other. Megumi, Yuji Itadori, and other people will become stuck in this game.
There will be a huge commotion in the fandom when characters like Reggie, Hakari, Higuruma, and others finally make their anime debut. Also, the biggest fight of the series between the King of the Curses Sukuna, and the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer Gojo Satoru will take place in this season as he will be released from the Prison realm.
According to many manga readers Culling Games arc is probably the best arc of the entire Jujutsu Kaisen series and it has the potential to surpass the Shibuya arc which was adapted for season 2. If this is true, Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 would break the records set by the previous seasons and become the best season of the entire series.
