These errors are a great deal for manga fans as they not only change the meanings of the dialogues but also create confusion regarding major elements of the series, like power scalings, emotions, interpretations, etc. And now, the streak has continued as a Jujutsu Kaisen fan account found another translation error in the manga series.

As soon as the account posted about the translation error on X (Formerly Twitter), fans came forward and discussed the recurrent theme of translation errors that have been following Jujutsu Kaisen. Some even pointed out that these poor translations are the reason fans read unofficial chapters despite major piracy problems.

Fan Account Finds Another Translation Error in Jujutsu Kaisen Manga

@Go_Jover, a Jujutsu Kaisen fan account, recently shared a tweet where he pointed out the difference between the scanned translations and the official translations. The two translations were completely different and revealed the massive translation error in the manga panel, continuing the streak.

The panel was from Chapter 220, which featured both Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, and Shoko, where Shoko stated that she would never fall in love with either of them. It was a memory that Shoko was remembering while the other characters were getting ready for the culling games and also freeing Gojo from the prison realm.

The official English translation of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga panel reads, “I was in love with one of you. That’s something that would’ve never happened, even if the world was turned upside down.” The panel has different variations in different languages, and this has confused the fans a lot as it even changes the meaning of the sentence in some.

Fans have often complained about these errors to official channels like Viz Media, but there are rarely any changes made to the story unless it is a big error.

This time also, fans pointed out the errors and expressed their dissatisfaction with the continuous errors. Some even stated that these errors are the reason why they prefer unofficial chapters.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are not happy with these continuous errors and official channels like Viz Media need to do something about these errors soon. Because of these errors, unofficial channels and chapters are getting prominent day by day which is not good for the manga industry as it only increases the piracy problems that the industry has been facing since the beginning.

You can watch Jujutsu Kaisen on Crunchyroll, and read the manga on Viz Media.
