One of the latest fan theories to surface online claims Kenjaku was fated to be killed by Yuta Okkotsu due to a fascinating fact about Gege Akutami’s magnum opus.
Jujutsu Kaisen Is Under the Loop of Reincarnation
Jujutsu Kaisen is in its final stretch, with the Jujutsu sorcerers trying their best to put behind Ryomen Sukuna’s tyranny once and for all. But all of them seem to fall one after the other in front of the King of the Curses. With Miguel making its entry on the battlefield after Jujutsu Kaisen 0, fans are convinced that Jujutsu Kaisen is under a loop and follows the reincarnation pattern.
The fans have theorized that Kenjaku was fated to meet his end at Yuta Okkotsu’s hands. Even though Takaba was the one who engaged him in a fight, Yuta crawled behind him and landed the finishing strike. Kenjaku was alive for more than a few centuries. The theory claims during that time, he had been killed by a Six Eyes user, Sugawara. Sugawara belonged to the Gojo clan. In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Satoru Gojo discovered Yuta was his distant relative.
So, after Satoru was killed, Yuta was the only remaining member of the Gojo clan, so he was destined to kill Kenjaku. It is a classic example of history repeating itself. Moreover, Jujutsu Kaisen is under a loop, and fans came to know it after Miguel’s entry. In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Suguru Geto isolated Yuta Okkotsu by deploying Miguel to hold off Satoru Gojo. Later, Geto is left on the verge of death by Yuta.
The same scenario took place in the latest Jujutsu Kaisen chapter, with Yuta killing Geto’s body and Miguel trying to hold off the King of Curses. The fans have pointed at this particular incident to uphold their theory of Gege Akutami trying to create a loop of events.
Jujutsu Kaisen is Nearing its End
Jujutsu Kaisen released chapter 254 a few days back. With the third month of 2024 almost at its end, the fans have only nine months left to enjoy the manga, as per Gege Akutami’s schedule. The manga began its serialization in 2018 and since then has been adapted into a popular anime series. For the past few years, the anime has won several awards, including two Anime of the Year Awards at Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
After Ryomen Sukuna took over Megumi Fushiguro’s body, he went on a rampage and killed off the characters one by one. He also regained his former self from a thousand years ago, and fans are doubtful whether Miguel can even hold him off for others to put forward a new plan. But the reincarnation and time loop theory seems to be pretty interesting, especially after examining the points.
But it is still a fan theory. Gege Akutami is a master mangaka and does not spill the beans unnecessarily. They wait for the perfect moment to reveal the mysteries. So, until they think it to be the right time, it will remain a theory.
