BTS member Jungkook is a huge Marvel fan, and he claimed in one interview that he bawled his eyes out after watching Avengers: Endgame. The phenomenal superhero movie was a massive success for Marvel Studios, and it’s no doubt one of the best installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Not only Jungkook, but the rest of the BTS members are all avid fans of MCU films. In fact, they have previously shared their favorite Marvel characters, and fans will be shocked when they discover Jungkook’s choice.
Avengers: Endgame Made BTS’ Jungkook Cry Buckets Of Tears
During an interview for Disney Plus via Koreaboo, the BTS group members were asked about their favorite Marvel movie. Jungkook responded with, “I will say Endgame though.” Jin interjected, “Oh, Endgame, the best.”
Then, Jimin quipped, “Jungkook cried his eyes out right next to me.” The Seven singer did not deny this and said, “That’s right, I cried a lot.” He was brave to admit that he got emotional during that scene in Endgame.
The boys of BTS are no strangers to the world of MCU. In fact, Jimin and V’s track Friends was used as music in Chloe Zhao’s Eternals, so fans can only imagine how excited the rest of the members were.
Netizens have seen Jungkook display his love for the MCU in many of his social media posts, whether unknowingly or intentionally. In one of his Instagram stories, he posted a video of his dog Bam while in quarantine after his trip to the US.
While the singer was playing with his dog, fans noticed in the background a number of Marvel figurines such as Captain America and Deadpool, merch from one of the Avengers films, and even the late Stan Lee dressed as an astronaut.
Funnily enough, while speaking with Amp Radio in Los Angeles, the members revealed their favorite Marvel characters. Some answered Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Thor, but Jungkook preferred to be different. He chose the villain Thanos. He later changed his mind and said Iron Man.
It is quite strange that Jungkook likes Thanos since he was the culprit of all the catastrophes in Avengers: Endgame, but it is still an interesting choice. Regardless, the singer is not alone in his experience as millions of avid fans were also left brokenhearted after the final scene in Endgame.
BTS Has Released A Superhero Track
BTS had a song about a superhero called Anpanman years ago, and while he is not an official part of the Avengers team, he is still a beloved character for fans. A fan shared a translation of the song’s meaning:
“Anpanman is about a Japanese cartoon character, Anpanman. BTS is basically saying they’ll try to protect people even though they’re not Anpanman.”
The song has an upbeat and catchy note that fans can easily dance and sing to, and as Marvel fans, it was easy for the members of BTS to capture the essence of a true superhero.
