Bloodborne may not enjoy the attention that Elden Ring and its DLC Shadow of the Erdtree have received on current-gen consoles, but it’s an excellent game nonetheless. However, streamer Kai Cenat’s playthrough of the game left a lot to be desired in the eyes of its fans.

It’s safe to say that Bloodborne remains a favorite among FromSoftware fans who were lucky enough to play the game on a PlayStation when it launched back in 2015. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki’s unique take on Lovecraftian horror was a hit among players who took the time to dive into its world and unique mechanics.

In the aftermath of Kai Cenat’s 166-hour marathon of Elden Ring, which saw him die more times than he would have liked to the Red Wolf of Radagon and a staggering number of attempts to beat Malenia, Blade of Miquella, the streamer decided to take a trip to FromSoftware’s past to stream Bloodborne.

Things did not go too well for the streamer, however, even as he managed to beat the game in about 30 hours. Part of that runtime is because Cenat did not take the time to actually play several areas of the game and missed out on a lot of what made Bloodborne so special to its fans – with The Old Hunters DLC being a major part of that.

With several Bloodborne fans feeling that he did the beloved FromSoftware title a disservice, Cenat’s fans are taking his upcoming attempt at Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with a pinch of salt.

While things have been quiet on the Sekiro front, despite the game’s parry mechanic being featured in Shadow of the Erdtree, the title continues to hold a place in the hearts of FromSoftware fans who experienced the adventures of the one-armed Wolf back in 2019.

Cenat looking to take on another popular FromSoftware title in the wake of his rushed Bloodborne playthrough has fans of Sekiro worried that he may give the latter the same treatment.

Taking to X to express their concerns, user jugemusequencer chose to sarcastically question if Cenat would ignore a majority of Sekiro too.

Responses to the post share the opinion that Cenat rushing through the game would not truly showcase why it remains so special to its many fans.

Other players remain confident that Cenat will not be able to run through Shadows Die Twice due to its lack of exploits and a more organic way of guiding its players to the majority of its content.

FromSoftware fans would certainly hope that Cenat takes the time to enjoy Shadows Die Twice to the fullest just as they did – and perhaps even earn back some of the goodwill he has lost after recent events.

Can Cenat get back in the good graces of FromSoftware fans?
