Kanye West is a very peculiar person and figure in the music and fashion industry. The 21-time GRAMMY winner is no doubt a talented rapper and artist, but his antics as of late haven’t been too beneficial for him. The rapper has been surrounded by controversies for the past few months which have cost him a LOT.

Kanye West, who had his name changed to Ye, got more and more aligned with conservative ideals, even to the point that he’d make good friends with popular conservative Candace Owens. Not to mention his anti-semitic remarks, Ye’s actions and words have landed him in a sticky spot as of now, and he’s recently gone on to fuel more headlines.

Even Skechers Don’t Want To Work With Kanye West

Kanye West‘s Yeezy clothing line, which is a collaboration between the rapper-turned-designer and clothing company Adidas, has been one of the most successful business ventures for the latter, earning them profits in the millions.

That partnership saw its untimely death just this week after Adidas decided to cut ties with Ye over his recent spree of spouting anti-semitic remarks all over the internet, which the German company did not want to be associated with.

The Yeezus rapper’s anti-semitic remarks have only gone on to cost him several lucrative business deals with famous clothing companies like Balenciaga, Vogue, and even Gap. Adding to that expanding list of clothing companies who’d want to not be seen with Ye is Skechers.

In a hilarious turn of events, Kanye West’s attempts to find a friend in Skechers to help take forward the legacy of Yeezy has been met with a strict NO. The Late Registration rapper appeared at a Skechers corporate headquarters in Manhattan Beach, southwest of Los Angeles, as reported by the company.

He had shown up “unannounced and without invitation”, and was escorted out of the California-based headquarters of the sports shoe company. In a company statement, they alleged that West was involved in “unauthorized filming”-

“Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation.”

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West. We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech.”

It seems like Ye must have not thought this business plan through. It’s not because he was participating in “unauthorized filming”, but because the CEO and founder of Skechers is Robert Greenberg, who is Jewish!

People Are Making Fun Of Kanye West’s Failed Skechers Deal

It’s always been a dream of Kanye West to make Yeezy affordable, whether it be the popular shoes or the clothing line itself. Skechers seemed like the perfect place to start as the American sports shoe company is known to produce affordable and comfortable shoes.

The rapper wanted to find a place and friend in Skechers to make it happen, which is kinda weird because the company’s CEO is Jewish. West, with his anti-semitic remarks from the past few weeks, is the last person that the company would want to work with.

The news of the failed Skechers deal broke into Twitter, and people are making fun of the GOOD Music founder-

Kanye West’s journey in finding a new major clothing/shoe company is going to be interesting. Maybe he’ll end up starting his own clothing company, which is plausible since he still has a huge fan following to back it up.
