After the success of the popular film, Titanic, actress Kate Winslet opened up about her filming experience including filming an explicit scene with her co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio. Though their infamous car act was not elaborate on in the film, she opened up that she didn’t want that scene to stop.

“Doing that scene it so wasn’t us. And yet, we were so locked into what all that had to be about. The Rose in me was really to sort of loving the Jack in him, actually. And even though I didn’t feel that way about Leo, it was quite nice to sort of feel that way in the scene…”

She opened up about being disappointed when DiCaprio walked away as soon as the scene was filmed.

“It was quite lovely. And then, you know, the camera stopped rolling, and he gets up and walks off, and the scene’s done.”

She continued,

“And I remember lying there thinking, ‘What a shame that’s over.’ Because it was quite nice. It was.”

The duo did a great job in professionally handling such scenes and eventually contributed to making that film a significant critical and commercial success.

While they put it all to showcase their intense love on-screen which made fans obsessed with the duo, their real-life relationship is not much different from reel life. They have continued to gush over each other on several occasions however they are nothing more than great friends.

Even, the Little Children actress opened up about sharing a sibling bond with the latter whom she considers her own family.

In a 2017 interview, she shared,

Back in 2021, she revealed about bursting into tears and couldn’t stop herself from crying after reuniting with her beloved friend as they spend three years apart amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The duo has continued to showcase their bond which only strengthened over time.
