The movie was released on 19 December 1997 and became one of the biggest hits in Hollywood. Both Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were partially sunk in the icy water for hours. This led to The Dressmaker actress making a gross decision during the filming of the movie.

Kate Winslet as Rose in Titanic was a sight for sore eyes. The actress nailed the character and became part of the best actress list. Leonardo DiCaprio and Winslet were put in icy cold water for a longer duration to get a perfect shot. When the movie debuted on the big screen it was all worth it because audiences praised every bit of the film. During an interview, the 47-year-old actress confessed to peeing in the water tank during the filming of the Romantic drama movie. While talking about the filming of the 1997 cult classic movie, the actress said,

“Yes, I admit to sometimes peeing in that water. Because you wanted to get it right. You didn’t want to have to get out and go to the bathroom, which would take half an hour with corsets and dresses and all that sort of thing. So, yeah, I peed. I mean, it’s the same with a swimming pool — do you really think about what’s in it?”

Celebrity confessions are always interesting but when Winslet’s confession was out many people were disgusted. But some fans also appreciated her for being so honest.

Last year before the movie completed its 25 years of release, Winslet recalled the sweet moments from her successful movie Titanic. The Blackbird actress also stated that she isn’t a big fan of watching herself in the movies but she might watch the 1997 movie as it completes more than 2 decades. While talking about the movie during an interview, the actress said,

“Well, I might. I mean, I’m just not very good at watching myself on screen. It’s not just ‘Titanic,’ like I don’t like watching myself in anything. I guess I probably will watch it. … You know people are talking about the 25 years — for us, it’s actually longer. I’m 47 years old now, guys, and I turned 21 when we were shooting that movie. So, it’s like half my lifetime ago.”
