One popular theory among the masses is the true identity of Deku’s toughest opponent. It’s not “All for One” or Shigaraki. The popular theory by X user Yasser states that the final villain is the parasite that gave birth to quirks.

The final villain in My Hero Academia might be a Parasite

My Hero Academia has ample amounts of well-written villains: Stain, Shigaraki, and All for One. One of the strong points of the franchise is the vast variety of antagonists. Kohei Horikoshi deserves more respect for writing these characters so magnificently.

Despite the series being initially based on heroes, the villains are the ones who always end up stealing the show. In the anime world, one of the most underrated antagonists is All for One, who, despite being so well created, is unable to reach the popularity it deserves.

Seeing All for One for the first time, along with his calm yet threatening voice, was already terrifying to bear and now the latest theory suggested by X user Yasser adds more horror to the story as well as the character.

All for One’s impact on the storyline is widely known, as he has been the man behind the misery of the hero society, but a theory states that he is not the strongest villain in the series and is being used as a puppet by none other than a parasite who can create quirks.

The theory suggests that Deku’s strongest and final opponent would be a parasite that gives birth to quirks, which is currently taking over All for One.

A Parasite might be responsible for everything in the My Hero Academia World

Now, you might think this theory is a total stretch; however, when you look at the massive amount of evidence scattered across the story, you’ll seem to understand it. The very first and foremost hint of this villain is the form it chose to take; it looks like a decomposing body, much like how a parasite suckers the life out of its host.

The appearance seems to be very similar to that of a body that is developing super fast. According to the theory, the parasite that took over Shigaraki’s body is similar in its properties and life cycle to the Giardia parasite.

This claim is based on the fact that the first stage of the Giardia parasite is a cyst, and we can see that some sort of skin cyst formed on the arm of All for One’s mother before she gave birth to him.

The second stage of the Giardia parasite is the trophozoite. In this stage, the parasite splits in two and becomes hyper-focused on feeding itself. This might be the reason that All for One subconsciously fed on his mother even after her death.

Another piece of evidence to back this claim is that All for One always seems to be debating with himself, as he wants to believe all his desires are his will, however, it’s just the parasite inside him urging him to multiply and dominate the world.

When you glance deeply at all the possible evidence, the theory seems to hold some merit and only time will tell what happens with Deku and other characters in the series.
