Others believe it could just be a marketing ploy to get more pre-orders in.

Sony has not announced dates for the next State of Play event yet but fans believe if an announcement is imminent, the next State of Play live event would be the perfect time to do so.

Last year, September’s State of Play featured a plethora of teasers, trailers, and DLC announcements as well. If the game doesn’t end up being announced before that, there could be a high chance there’s an update around the same time this year during the next State of Play stream.

For now, these speculations are to be taken with a huge grain of salt.

DELIVERY OF THIS ITEM WILL BE MADE FROM MAY 30, 2024

If ever there was a leak expected for Konami’s upcoming remake, a Mexican retailer wouldn’t be the first few places one would expect so this could just be a way of pushing more pre-order sales for now.

Creative Director and Lead Designer from Bloober Team, Mateusz Lenart had earlier stated that the remake will preserve “the atmosphere that made Silent Hill 2 so exceptional while modernizing many aspects of the game’s overall gameplay“.

The upcoming remake will be a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive along with a Windows edition, before heading to Xbox and Switch a year after the official release. It’s also expected to be a third-person combat just like the original with certain story elements remade from scratch.

The remake will showcase the protagonist James Sunderland’s journey, after his return to the haunting town of Silent Hill. Akira Yamaoka is said to return as the remake’s composer. Fans will have to continue to wait for an official announcement to learn when they can get their hands on the remake of possibly one of the best horror games.
